Members of “The A Team” will manage your project along with our highly experienced marketing partners.
Who is AccuList®?
What are your terms?
If you are an established account (two or more prepaid orders) with a favorable credit history, we will extend list industry standard net 30 terms on future orders, when we are not required by the list owner or manager to either prepay or guarantee payment on your behalf.
What do you charge for your lists?
Prices vary from pennies per name to several dollars or more per lead, depending upon how the names are sourced. Known buyers, co-registration leads, and subscriber names command a premium over web site visitors or compiled public record or industrial directory lists.
What response rate can I expect?
If someone tells you 2%, they’re probably misinformed. In most instances, we can no more tell you what the response rate will be for a given offer than inform you over the phone what color you are wearing on a particular day. It is not possible to scientifically forecast response rates unless you have a well documented mailing history for a particular offer (control package) along with a target audience.
What is your minimum charge for a mailing list?
$575 – Direct Mail
$2,500 – E-Mail
Where do your names come from?
They are sourced from known direct mail and online buyers and respondents, web site visitors, public records, industrial directories, questionnaires, and association membership rosters.
Where is AccuList located?
Why do prices differ on various lists?
Prices vary depending upon how lists are sourced. We take great pride in multi-sourcing our lists to give you the best data for the lowest possible cost. In most instances, it does not cost extra to order a postal or e-mail list through AccuList USA. You may actually save money if you have spent hours shopping, purchased lists online, or through costly subscription programs.
Why do list owners need a script for telemarketing lists?
When you order telemarketing lists, it is customary for list owners and managers to scrutinize your offer to insure that it is suitable for the intended audience, is not directly competitive, and is compliant with applicable state or federal law.
Why do you need a SAN number for telemarketing?
If you represent a company versus a non-profit or political campaign, you must register with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) before you may contact others via phone on outside lists. A SAN number is required by AccuList USA to order lists with consumer telephone numbers.
Why do you need list owner approval of a sample mailing piece?
When you order response lists, it is customary for list owners and managers to scrutinize your offer to insure that it is suitable for the intended audience, is not directly competitive, and is compliant with applicable state or federal law.
Why does it take more time to order a "response" list?
The process takes longer because we have to obtain list owner approval of your offer (which may take days or weeks), address prepayment or other credit issues, and pre-clear your mail date.
Why should I buy a list or insert media from AccuList?
Our lists are exceptional and will outperform inferior datasets from other companies.
Can AccuList handle my direct mail and online marketing needs?
Absolutely. We can assist you with planning and execution of direct mail, e-mail, mobile marketing, and online advertising campaigns.
Can I buy a small quantity of names from AccuList?
Yes. Our minimum order is $575 for 5,000 direct mail records and $2,500 for 25,000 e-mail messages.
Can I test one list?
That’s not a good idea unless it is “one of a kind.” A valid list test generally requires sampling two or more unique lists, along with measurement of other key variables such as the target audience, creative, and offer.
Does AccuList sell or rent its lists?
Generally speaking, lists are not sold outright. Postal lists are rented (site licensed) to a single user for a specific offer on either one-time basis, multiple use, or for 1-year unlimited usage. E-mail lists are not shared. True opt-in e-mail lists are hosted and deployed by the list owner.
Why can’t I just order a list online?
You can shop elsewhere and take the risk that the list has been mailed thousands of times or is obsolete. That is commonplace for lists that are purchased on the web. They are over-mailed.
How is renting an e-mail list different from renting a postal or telemarketing list?
List owners protect their “opt-in” e-mail addresses from known spammers and over-mailing. They will require an HTML or TEXT version of your e-mail promotion for approval and will then deploy that e-mail message for you. The cost of the deployment is included in the list price that you will pay. The list owner will supply you with a delivery report so that you can see the open, bounce, and click-through rates.
When I pay for use of an e-mail list, what about the e-mails that "bounce" or are deemed undeliverable?
You will be typically billed for names that are delivered, subject to a 5,000 name minimum.. Most list owners make allowances for undeliverable e-mail and over-send to make sure they deploy the e-mail quantity that you have rented. They will only charge you for the agreed upon delivery quantity. However, be aware that an e-mail is considered delivered even if it ends up in someone’s “junk” mail folder.
How accurate (deliverable) are your names?
Most compiled mailing lists are guaranteed at least 90% deliverable, within 30 days of receipt. If you are doing telemarketing, a good list will be at least 85% accurate. Response mailing lists are generally not subject to deliverability guarantees. Permission-based e-mail lists have varying deliver rates, but you usually pay only for e-mail that is delivered.
How long does it take to order a list?
Compiled mailing lists can be delivered within minutes, hours, or days. Response lists can take days or weeks to obtain. E-mail lists must also be pre-cleared for available blast dates and normally require several working days, including set-up and testing prior to deployment.

What is a CV report?
A computer generated list verification report that summarizes the results from a merge-purge.
What do you need to process an order?
For direct mail, we require a sample mailing piece or PDF along with your mail date and order quantity. On e-mail, aside from the list quantity, HTML or TEXT creative is required along with a subject line, opt-out link, and your deployment or blast date. Online advertising and insert media also requires creative that is compliant with industry norms and standards.
How many times can I use a list?
Most list orders are restricted to a one-time use, which list companies refer to as “a list rental,” unless a prior agreement is made with the list owner for re-use.
What is the difference between a "want by date" and a "drop dead" date?
A want by date refer to a specific date when a list is to be delivered. A drop dead date indicates the absolute last day when a list can be received.
What are "Multi-Buyers"?
Multi-buyers are names that are common to two or more comparable lists. They are also referred to as interfile duplicates.
What is a "file layout"?
A file layout is a description of how data is formatted on a given list.
Why do I need an "opt-out" link?
On e-mail orders, some list owners require the sender (advertiser) to independently collect names of those who unsubscribe for compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003.
